30 Day Fitness Jumpstart | Day 13 | Finish

Commit to FINISH

I am here to tell you about finishing.

Now, one of the big things that happens is that we try to make these big changes in our life and then what happens? Life gets in the way.

I have two kids and I run a business, I coach my team and I have many interests. And if I waited for that perfect moment every single day to do my workouts, it would just never get done.

And so I just finished my Insanity workout, and I wanted to talk to you about how important it is to finish your program. One of the things I will tell you–and it doesn’t always match some of my counterparts–is that if you miss a workout or you get sick or something happens and you miss a couple of days, I don’t want you to then go back and redo the days you missed. I want you to act as if you did it just fine and keep going.

I have a client that I just told to move onto the second month of Insanity even though she had a less than perfect Month 1 because I just want everyone to get through their first round of whatever program it is that they purchased.

It doesn’t have to be a perfect round. But if you keep going and then move on to the new ones, in the second and third months, you’re just going to stay interested and you’re going to stay excited about your program. And that’s more important to me than having you do it perfectly.

So what I want you to do is take a big sticky note and I want you to put it on your TV, and on it, I want you to write FINISH because that’s the most important thing is just get through your workout, number one. I want you to go all the way through to the end of the cooldown. That’s very important. And I really want you to keep going until you finish a whole round of your workout program. And then you can start again. And each time you do it, you are probably going to do it better and better and better.

The idea here is you are changing your life one step at a time. It’s not going to be this gargantuan overnight change. You have to just keep going.

That’s my message to you for today. I’m so glad you’re checking in. Please go to my Facebook page today and tell me what you ate today. That’s what I want to hear from you. And I look forward to your comments.

Take care.
